Just taking an opportunity to give a quick shout out to a load of local bands who I know and love, if you want any info about these bands, either wait till I go to a gig of theirs and write something, or check out their myspaces / facebooks. There are some quality bands in the local area such as: Nervous Endings, Hurtcore, Sinuism, Take the Glory, Alzir, Alternative Carpark, Sorcerer's Spell, Bloodshot Dawn, Kill 'em Dead Cowboy and loads more. If you get the opportunity to see any of them, definitely take it, there are loads of gigs happening all the time, the next one on the horizon for me is Day of Rockening at the Royal Oak in Hollywater on the 4th of September. For anyone into the Hampshire metal scene, this is one you can't afford to miss, especially with Romeo Must Die headlining and local legends Alzir, Nervous Endings, and Sinuism playing. Tickets will be available on the door for £7. Slightly further away is the "7 Circles of Hell" gig at the Alton Community Centre on October the 9th, with bands such as Maniacal Edge, Bloodshot Dawn, Entro-P and Take the Glory, if you're into death metal, this is one you need in your diary.
